You can register as an Individual, Duo, Trio, or as a full Team. We'll be sure to match-up players to form full teams by the time everyone gets here.
(People looking to register together should click on the "Group" option, and then enter '2', '3', or '4' in the sign-up process, so we know who to keep together on the ice.)
WHAT'S INCLUDED: "The Drag Effect" offers a 3-game guarantee, Food and Drinks all weekend long, inclusive entertainment, and the Windy City Curling hospitality our club has built its reputation on.
Just an FYI: Our bonspiel follows the American tradition of playing for Pins (and not money). Instead of offering event winners a cut of a cash prize pool, we instead will be keeping a cooler fully-stocked with a great selection of alcoholic beverages (beer and seltzers), non-alcoholic drinks, and water all weekend long - all of which is all included in your registration. This goes for food, too! We'll be offering full Meals (lunch and dinner) throughout the whole weekend, along with some fun snacks. See? Everyone wins, regardless of how they perform on the ice.
FAQ
Are people who are not LGBTQ+ welcome to come?
Absolutely! Windy City Curling loves strong allies and welcomes everyone in our house. The only thing we ask is that if you don't have anyone on your team, or in your group who is LGBTQ+, please kindly wait until October 30th to register, so that curlers in the community have a chance to sign up.
Are there going to be draws Thursday night?
To be honest, right now - that's unknown. We're hoping to have 24 teams, which should fill all-day Friday and all-day Saturday (with playoffs on Sunday), but if the demand is high enough to add more teams, we'll expand draws to Thursday evening, as well.
At the very least, we're going to be throwing a Thursday night Mixer for out-of-towners who come in early. This is a social event after all!
