We have a great pleasure to invite you to the 12th edition of one and only Mazury Curling Festival!

In the past eleven years there were between 100 and 200 camp participants every year having fun in Wilkasy and Gizycko, and in the tournament for 36 teams. The players of all Polish curling clubs had the opportunity to practice and compete with our guests from 17 countries from 3 continents (Belarus, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Hongkong, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and Ukraine).

We had a pleasure to meet e.g. World and European Champions (Dorottya Palancsa from Hungary, Michelle Allen from Canada, Bjorn Schroder from Switzerland and Anders Kraupp from Sweden), top players, coaches, umpires and icemasters (Mark Callan, George Munro from Scotland). 

We negotiate with best coaches and instructors, not only from Europe, and we will announce most names in our next letter. We hope to see new coaches as well as the most memorable characters from recent years. 

This year the camp will start on Saturday the 26th of August. Trainings will start on Sunday, August the 27th, and end on Thursday, August the 31st in the afternoon. The 12th Mazury Curling Cup will be launched on Friday, September the 1st in the morning and it will close on Sunday, September the 3rd in the evening.

For all those still not tired of curling, we offer for the next two days. For the second time in Giżycko we are organising a tournament for mixed doubles, we are planning 24 pairs and a full two days (4-5 September) of games in an attractive format. You can apply for just the camp, just one of the tournaments, or both - but preference will be given to applications for both the camp and the tournament or tournaments together.

Teams and pairs made up of campers will be accepted into the tournament first, other teams will be put on a reserve list and wait to be accepted later.

We would like to kindly remind you that we are expecting your applications since the beginning of February till the list will be full. Our list of participants is limited to 144 only! For organizational reasons your application will be placed on the list only after prepayment (250 zlotych or 50 Euro)

22-25 August – ice preparation

26 August – come and try open sessions

26 August – coaches conference, arrival of participants

27-31 August – Curling camp for individuals and teams, referees clinic, lectures

1-3 September – 12th Mazury Curling Cup + Junior Grand Prix 

4-5 September – 2nd Mazury Mixed Doubles Cup

The camp and tournaments is for everyone regardless of gender, level of experience or age. It is possible to take part only in the camp or the tournament, however, we highly recommend participating in all events and offer a discount for them.

12th Mazury Curling Camp 

Duration: 5 days. We offer 2 sessions of training on ice and one off the ice practice daily (at the premises of the Academic Sport Center in Wilkasy). Arrival on August the 26th (Saturday), departure on August the 31st (Thursday afternoon).

Participants will be divided into 3 different groups, and into classes for players and/or individual positions, as well as classes for teams. Individual and team consultation will be available. Camp and the tournament are available to curlers regardless of their level, age, gender or team. One can participate in selected training sessions or only in the tournament.

We provide transport to and from the ice rink, and integration events at the Rozbitek Tavern and BBQ. Each participant will receive festival t-shirt. Moreover, each participant is provided with discounts for sports facilities, SPA, cryogenic chamber and many more.

We offer the opportunity to arrive earlier, stay longer, or enjoy the event with an accompanying person. Please contact me for more details. You can also rent a curling sheet after training session for 25 euro per hour

12th Mazury Curling Cup

We guarantee 5 games for all teams. The competition will start on Saturday the 1st (Fridday morning), the final on September the 3rd (Sunday) at 5 p.m. Up to 36 teams of any gender or age. 

If a sufficient number of junior teams are entered, a junior tournament will be held in parallel as part of the Polish Junior Grand Prix.

2nd Mazury Mixed Doubles Cup

Up to 24 pairs of any age. The competition will start on September the 4th (Monday morning), the final on September the 5th (Tuesday) at 4 p.m..
