Ljubljana Open 2022

Dear curling friends,

after a long pause and a series of cancelled events, it is our great pleasure to invite you all to the spring edition of the curling bonspiel Ljubljana Open 2022. Yes, you’ve read it correctly, the event will take place from 6 to 8 May 2022 in Ljubljana and we welcome teams from all over the world.

We are all extremely excited to wipe off the dust from our curling shoes and warm up our brooms. But the safety and health of all curlers, volunteers and involved individuals are our absolute priority. Here is some important information regarding this year’s event:

What will be the health and safety protocols on and off the ice?

The tournament will be organized under the national restrictions and rules of the Government, the guidelines of the National Health Institute and the official health protocol of the Slovenian curling association. In general, this means obligatory masks in all indoor spaces (but not on the ice while playing); no handshakes; special attention to hygiene and obligatory hand disinfecting; maintaining the social distance of 1,5 meters at all times and restricted indoors and outdoors gatherings...details will be known soon :)
